Central Park 5, I have not watched
it yet, as I am old enough to recall it firsthand. Now I am shocked at the fact
that some of you pretended as if this is news to you. I ask myself; did you go
to the same JSU that I did, did you take any history classes taught by someone
real?
This is not new and it so sad that
some of my lawyer friends want to pretend as they do not know that this goes on
each day right now in courtrooms. The flip a coin on who goes home and who gets
time. Justice is and has never been about guilt or not; it is and will always
be about Race. I am not your Negro; I said that to say that I have been around
the block and I have talked to some women that were the top of the class, but
airheads.
I can watch a movie like Roots and
cry with a sister or Becky, and Becky can understand why she is crying; while
the sister just cries because she does not know why. For me, Race is not black
and white; race is a mindset that goes deeper than black and white. I am one
that understands that there are many more brothers in jail for one simple fact,
they were black.
I say this with no disrespect; you
answer me this, Cook County State Atty office is run by a black woman, there
are more Black women working there; however, cook county jail is over 90%
black, those going to court are black; those getting time are majority black.
Do black men commit more crimes than anyone else; no, they do not. The Chief
Judge in Cook County is a black man; he is the one that put the judges in the
courtrooms.
So when you all sit up and watch
shows like central park 5, and it makes you feel like you want to cry, I have
to ask you where was the tears before now; or were you not awake to what has
and will keep going on in the non-justice system here in American.
What happens to Zion and how CVLS
and David Gotzh help to do a judicial lynching on me has been going on for years.
CVLS gets it money and funding just as the Church does; people give time and
money to them as they keep black folks lock up, point me one case that they
have done to help, as I know firsthand, they did nothing to help Zion. They all
knew the Judge was wrong; however just as those in central Park 5 knew the truth they said nothing and just went along.
“A strong
black man can't be replaced by no other.
Truly a man bred by his mother,
and Inbred by his father.
Taught to stand on the strength of his beliefs,
not to be debriefed by another's disbelief.
Trust in his moral standards,
not to rely on double standards.
A strong black man teaches his flock to
teach one reach one;
never to beseech anyone.
Preaching the truth is our proof
of a strong black man.
Beside every strong black man;
there is a strong black woman.
She's his guiding light.
It's his God given right to treat her right;
to preserve his family, in the utmost respect in God's light.
She will carry the torch for her strong black man,
standing along side him during all kinds of demands;
on his manhood as a father, brother, son, uncle, nephew.
A strong black man's life evolves around the upholding of
his land, as he plans the future of his clan; climbing that
ladder set by God to test his resolve, to stay involved
to handle all trials and tribulations of God's plan.
A strong black man has to live life humble to receive
his blessings; from the most prestigious entity of all.
After all he is the one that created woman from a man's
rib, she is the sustainer of all your falls.
She'll pick you up when you can't stand tall;
helping you stay a strong black man that,
might need a helping hand from the woman
overall; you chose her to be apart of your life as she
stands by your side, after all she is your wife.
A strong black man takes the reins of his life to provide,
the stability to get thru life preventing any pitfalls.
A strong black man always stand tall, overall; he is the
driving force that our Lord has appointed,
husband & father to take a stand on his glorious land.
The Lord reminds us that we can still fall from grace once
we stand tall; as we humble ourselves to our Lord to not
fall with disgrace; live life with a humble grace.
A strong black man has taken care of his clan following
God's master plan.”
